I'm Erin, a freelance journalist and audio storyteller based in rural Alaska.

I've reported on everything from humpback whale entanglements to remote renewable energy projects for Raven Radio, National Native News, PBS Newshour, Alaska's Energy Desk, Edible Alaska and others. My podcast about life in rural Alaska is called Out Here. My work has won numerous awards and fellowships including a Rasmuson Individual Artist grant, best podcast from the Alaska Press Club Association, and a regional Edward R. Murrow Award. I have a master's from the University of Missouri School of Journalism.

I live in small cabin in McCarthy with my husband and my dog. When I'm not splitting wood and filling water, I love to knit, cross country ski, and backpack through Wrangell-St. Elias National Park.

Questions? Opportunities? Comments? I'd love to hear from you here.
